Summary of Restoration of GST Returns data on Portal
- GST Advisory on Restoration of GST Returns data on Portal has been issued on 29-09-2024. The Government has advised that return data on the common portal will be archived after 7 years, as part of their data archival policy. This archiving happens every month. For example, data from July 2017 was archived on 01-08-2024, and data from August 2017 was archived on 01-09-2024.
- However the archived data has been temporarily restored on the portal. Hence Government has advised to every registered taxpayer to download and save any important data ,because the archival process will be started again after giving a proper notice.
