Summary of 55th GST Council Meeting
The Recommendations of 55th GST Council Meeting which met under the chairpersonship of Union Minister for Finanace and corporate affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman in Jaisalmer Rajasthan on 21-12-2024.The Meeting was attended by Union Minister of state for Finance Shri Pankaj Chaudhary, Chief Minister of Goa, Haryana, jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and Odisha: Deputy Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh,Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana besides Finance Ministers of States and Union Territories with legislature and senior officers of the Ministry of Finances and states /UTs.
The GST Council made the following Recommendations relating to changes in GST Tax rates , provide relief to individuals , measures for facilitation of trade and measures to streamlining compliance in GST.
